Butler also advised Uber in its dealings with organized labour while working at SCRB, and that alone highlights the major influence she had played in the political scene throughout her career.
She was known as a political ally of Harris since her first run for California Attorney General in 2010 when she helped Harris negotiate a shared SEIU endorsement in the race.
