Angela Simmons is thinking of her baby’s father, Sutton Tennyson Sr., on the anniversary of his death. The celebrity mom took to Instagram to remember her son’s dad.
“Two years later,” Angela shared. “Been on my mind heavy,” Simmons wrote to her baby’s father. “This time of year brings back so many emotions,” the celebrity mom shared. “Still missing you here . So thankful you left me with such a shining light. Knowing that you would be as proud as me of your son. I could just hear you now speaking (bragging) about him. He’s everything you ever wanted him to be and more.”
Sutton Tennyson Sr. died on November 3, 2018 as a result of gun violence in Atlanta. The businessman was found dead in the garage of his home.
Angela Simmons revealed how she broke the news of Sutton’s death to their son during a recent episode of Growing Up Hip Hop (GUHH).
“He comes over and I start showing him videos and pictures and stuff and he stopped, and it’s not like he’s full conversational yet, so this is what kind of makes it emotional. He’s like, ‘Is he alive,'” Angela shared with her life coach. “He doesn’t even say the word ‘alive,’ so for him to ask that is like, ‘Woah,'” the celebrity mom said.
“I was like, ‘No, he’s not.’ This is the first time I’m having to explain it to him. Which is super sad because he’s 3 [years old],” Angela revealed. “How do you explain to a 3-year-old that their never going to see them again,” Simmons asked. “Other than my own way, which is like ‘He’s in heaven, he’s with God,’ all of the great things.”
Sutton Tennyson Jr. is Angela Simmons’ only child. Stay tuned for more celebrity mom news!
